It all started during the first Fall of the Pandemic. Founder, Rowena Sahulee, missed seeing her friends and her city but she wanted to do it safely. She had an idea to charter a double decker bus. She asked her friends if they wanted to join. It was an instant yes. But it was when they drove back over the Manhattan bridge from Brooklyn and she saw the breadth of NYC again, she felt NYC in her soul.
She offered the double decker bus tour again during the holidays to see the festive holiday lights. Turns out she made money by accident. That’s when she knew she had something special. Not everyone has the knowledge and ability to manage all the relationships to curate a meaningful experience like that. She did. So, after 25 years working for government, nonprofit and private entities, she started Meaningful Experiences, LLC.
It’s the feeling she felt on that double decker bus that first that she wants to replicate with each Meaningful Experience.

About the Founder
Rowena Sahulee is a marketing executive with over 20 years in the dual realms of tourism and economic development. She has worked in marketing functions at organizations such as Circle Line Statue of Liberty Ferry and Harbor Cruises, the first concessionaire to the Statue of Liberty. The Greater Houston Partnership, the main business organization in the Houston, Texas 10-country region. Choose NJ, the economic development marketing organization for the State of New Jersey.
After Choose NJ she started with Empire State Development, in the Division of Tourism, I LOVE NY, as the Director of Tourism Marketing, Licensing and Public Relations in New York City. She managed the public relations consumer program to promote State’s 11 vacation regions. Additionally, she oversaw the multi-million dollar retail licensing program for the I LOVE NY logo as well as tourism segment marketing programs.

Her next role was with the Long Island City Partnership, the local neighborhood economic development entity in Long Island City, Queens as their Director of Marketing & Communications.
Today, Meaningful Experiences, LLC is her own company curating experiences for corporate and employee resource groups utilizing the abundance of NYC/NYS Tourism assets such as Broadway, Lincoln Center, visual art, culinary and much more but also with the optional VIP component of meet-and-greets with artists and producers. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Buffalo and her Masters of Business Administration from Texas A&M University. She is also an adoptive mom and adoption advocate. She is happily married with two sons.
